Wilson and Gilkes was established in 1947 as a manufacturer of photographic equipment under the Gilkon brand as well as other well-known brands such as Bell and Howell, Hanimex, 3M and Kodak.

Gilkon was well known in the education markets for the overhead projectors, projector screens and other audio visual products.

Today Wilson & Gilkes manufactures a broad range of audio visual and electrical products as well as a range of mounting and technology storage and security products including, laptop carts and laptop cabinets.
